Kitchen Assistant Vacancy in Huntingdon

Hours: 5am to 1pm Monday to Thursday (32 hrs per week)

Location: Huntingdon

Rate of pay: £11.44/ hour

What are we looking for

An exciting opportunity for an organised & motivated Kitchen Assistant to join the team at Ready Eats. You will be assisting the Catering Operations Manager with the production of edible goods and maintaining a high standard of hygiene and cleanliness within the kitchen to ensure the continuation of a high Food Hygiene rating awarded by the District Council.

You will be working 32 hours a week, from 5am until 1pm Monday to Thursday.

The rate of pay is £11.44 an hour.

Responsibilities

To fill pies to a very high standard, hand lidding and egg washing them.
To hand-make sausage rolls and pasties.
To work on a production line at a fast accurate pace.
To follow the strict food safety guidelines that are to be set out.
To clean and maintain the high standards of our approved food premises.

Skills and attributes

Experience working in a kitchen environment and preparing food
Holding or willingness to complete suitable qualifications in Food Hygiene and preparation
Understanding and ability to apply Health and Safety procedures relevant to the job such as Manual handling, safe use of machinery and/or equipment, COSHH, First Aid and Hygiene Practice, etc.
Ability to work efficiently and remain calm under pressure

In addition to this we are looking for the following skills:

Flexible self starter who can work without supervision
Have a keen eye for detail and a high level of accuracy
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Excellent interpersonal skills
